Another reason why this fruit helps a lot in loss of weight is the fact that it has low amounts of sugar in it. As it is well known, sugar and weight loss are on opposite ends of the scale. Whenever trying to lose weight, the first thing to say goodbye to should always be sugar. This is because sugar in the body is converted into fat and that is exactly what needs to be lost when weight needs to be lost.

This fruit perishes quickly and therefore, only the amount that will be consumed in a couple of days should be purchased at a time. They can however be consumed frozen as a substitute to other frozen snacks. Considering the amount of calories in blueberries, this sounds like a better alternative.
