Protein Bars For Burning Fat

By Victoria Rosenbloom

Many of us snack on protein bars to refuel after an intense workout. They can likewise be a convenient travel meal, a periodic mini-meal when we don't have a lot of time or a meal replacement if we are attempting to cut down on our food consumption.

In a majority of these cases, we are choosing protein bars to stay healthy and sometimes slim down. However, when you look at a store shelf full of items, how do you figure out which ones are better for slimming down?

The Bottom Line:

The bottom line is that we want to prevent sugar and processed foods. Some people try to find "low carb" on item packaging, however, you do not want to get deceived into getting a great deal of processed reduced carb trash either.

But There's a Challenge ...

A big difficulty is that most protein bars contain a considerable quantity of sugar, and some contain a variety of different forms of sugar. Some labels even detail sugar as the first ingredient!

I understand that a sweetener boosts food flavor, however, protein bars that contain a great deal of sugar are basically candy bars in disguise, in my view. This resembles a chocolate chip morning muffin - isn't that actually a cupcake in disguise? Hmm ...

Exactly What to Look for if You are Looking to Lose Weight:

If you desire a very sweet protein bar, that's fine. It simply will not help you in burning fat. If you are seeking to slim down or maintain your weight loss, look for healthy snack bars that have no processed sweeteners.

This can be difficult, and you will often have to search for a natural health bar that does not include any processed ingredients. An example would be a trail mix bar which contains a combination of natural nuts and seeds with unsweetened coconut or dried fruit.

If you are searching for reduced sugar, high protein bars, there are some nut and seed bars with protein powder added, like egg white protein powder. Numerous paleo athletes pick these types of protein bars, because they do not contain dairy products and they don't contain gluten as well.

Some Additional Benefits ...

An additional advantage to eating a low-sugar or no-sugar treat is that it will lower your hunger for even more sugar. Have you ever finished a high-calorie protein bar and instantaneously desired more? This is likely a sugar craving, and consuming an additional bar will definitely not help you slim down.

Low sugar, unrefined nutrition bars are usually much easier to digest and offer a good deal of nutrition naturally. Things like nuts and coconut have a lot of healthy fats, and are for that reason helpful for satisfying appetite and food cravings.
